Here is some general information to help you get started.

If you’re new to scouting, it can all be a bit bewildering. Cub Scouting is a wonderful opportunity for your child to learn and grow and become a valued member of his/her community. He/she will learn skills and pursuits that he/she can take with him into adulthood. Scouting has something for everyone whether it is love of the outdoors: camping and fishing, sports, building things, learning to help others, or learning to be more self-sufficient, to name just a few.

In Cub Scouts, we advance by Ranks by age group or grade level.

Lion: Kindergarten (ages 5–6).
Tiger: First Grade (ages 6–7).
Wolf: Second Grade (ages 7–8).
Bear: Third Grade (ages 8–9).
Webelos: Fourth and Fifth Grades (ages 9–10).
Arrow of Light: The highest Cub Scout rank, typically earned in Fifth Grade (ages 10–11).

Activities

Following our September kick-off meeting, we host Pack meetings and events throughout the scouting year, running from September to July.

Don't forget our Popcorn Sales program! Proceeds from the sales program are critical to support Pack 56 activites.
